Low, Low RPM power

when i take off from a dead stop and floor the gas my tires refuse to spin this leading me to beleave i have a power issue at low rpm's...it seems to run and pull great after i get to about 10 MPH.

I have new wires-plugs-coil (checked all wires 8X)
I have one plug i am going to replace agin because it is arching.

Any thing else i should check?

I have an A4 with 2.73 gears LT headers LT4 KM HomeMade Airintake OVC Wires, stock muffler for now..

Its an auto with some 2.73's and a factory stall. Its in the setup, its not that there is a problem with the car. Honestly I wouldn't worry about it, if you want to get some grunt out of the hole consider doing a higher stall.

Even a 2.73 equipped car should be able to easily spin the tires off the line...hell, when I test drove my 95 (2.73's stock) I left at least a 30' set of tire marks on a side street with the sales droid in the passenger seat.

yeah

i can remember when i first got the car smoking the tires down the whole block...I figured it was the wires and plugs going bad but now with ones i still dont see the power off the line.

Is there a tool i can use to check the opti....can they check for any miss fires at a shop?

I have to agree with BlownF1, I just got my Z three weeks ago; it’s a bone stock 95 convertible with 20k original miles on it.

It even has the original stock Goodyear tires on it. Anyway, I'm told the convertible is a much heavier car but not only did it smoke the crap out of the stock tires, it even slammed second gear, leaving a nice 4-foot, black chirp mark on the pavement.

If you have access to a scope that would be a good way to messure the voltage going to each sparkplug Otherwise you can pull each plug wire and do a contiunity test on them, and then check the output of the coil.

Spinning the tires all will depend on the type of tire/size and the rims that you are using. If the car has posi will also make a differnce.

Get a spark plug gap checker...don't just see if you're getting spark. It's key that it's ENOUGH spark too, and a spark plug gapper will verify that. Should be about $5 and it's a little cheapo plastic tube with variable prongs that lets you adjust the gap depending on spark voltage. Any auto parts store should have one, and you just connect it to the coil output, or any plug wire to ground.

huh

i thought a gap checker was used to tell the gap betwen the electroid things on the plug not to test the amount of spark.....

ohh yea its got the power but, according to my manual... the automatics have traction control. there is no loss of power, roll down ur window at about 45 mph and u'll hear it lose traction, or step on really hard around a corner (be careful) cause u'll lose a **** load of traction

My car didnt come with traction control...
I guess i am going to go out and buy new coil and plugs today
if that doesnt do the trick then comes the opti

I am going to check the fuel presure to agin today

I guess there is no what to check the amount of spark at each plug?
