im starting to mod my 97 z28 and i want to start with a great sounding exhaust, what do you guys reccomend- the mufflex system with the spin tech muffler or the slp loudmouth? anyone have sound clips of either? thanks

 

Someone posted some clips of the loudmouth recently and it sounded great. I think it was a stock car with just the catback.

I have a video of my car with a spintech, but its not the mufflex system. The mufflex system will probably be a little deeper than mine, since I only hvae 3" pipe.

Look past what you are currently doing and to what you want to do in the future. If you are considering headers, many people dislike the way the LM sounds with headers. They dislike it so much many of them sell the LM for something different.

Of course I love my GMMG, I think the sound, quality, and performance is second to none.

Take into consideration the material of the exhaust. You stock exhaust is Stainless Steel, dont drop down in quality to an Aluminum system, like Hooker or Flowmaster.

I have heard alot of systems before. Borla is nice, but so pricey I'd rather have a GMMG. Corsa is decent, not real muscular, but again for the price get a GMMG. Magnaflow is a great system for the money, all SS, and sounds decent enough for many. If you like SLP, I'd go with the 2OTL, I love the way it sounded on a few Z's I heard. And it doesnt get raunchy with headers.

Just keep an open mind and decide by what you want and not what others want.
