speedometer question

speedometer question

I have a 1995 Z28 6speed. All the guages work EXCEPT the speedo. Is there a way to check it? How can I tell if the guage is bad or if it's just unplugged somewhere?

If you have a scanner, it will show vehicle speed as one of the parameters. If it reads 0 then start trouble shooting.

No, unfortunately, I don't have a scanner. What else can I do?

Believe it or not. I figured it out. The tach needle was stuck in the bevel so it wouldn't work. I freed the needle to the tach and now the speedo works.
