Speedo Recalibration

I am about to get my 4.10s installed so i went down to the local mechanic and asked him if he could recalibrate my speedo. He said he wouldnt touch a speedo and that he didn't know of anybody around here that would...then he said i had to get new transmission gears to fix the problem. I thought you could do that with a hypertech or something programmer. What do you think, and how much would it cost? My friend said that if I got new transmission gears then the 4.10s would be pointless and i would have the same gear ratio because my gears are equally bigger in the front and back. Let me know what you think
Thanks
Bill

Transmission gears won't fix this on a 96. You can do it with the Hypertech if you want.
I also offer the service of reprogramming it. For $75 you could get your speedo fixed, your fans to come on earlier and a few other things.
Check out my order page on www.madz28.com for more details, if you're interested.
