I have a 94 Formula Firebird 4A that came with 2.73 gears. I swapped a rear from a 98 SS 6M w/ 3.42's late last night and will finish the swap this evening. I've bought a HPP off ebay and it's supposed to be arriving in the next day or so, but until I get it, I want to drive the car tonight.

What will be affected by not reprogramming the computer?
Will just my speedo be off?

Your speedo will be a little off and your odometer wont log 100% accuratly, if I'm not mistaken.. but a day or two is no big deal.. Some people don't reprogram for their gears until months after they do it meanwhile driving daily.

yeah but some of us who go that long dont expect to... i have been waiting on my pcmforless for the last month it seems... should be here today, but ive been saying that for a couple weeks.
