Speed Pro Forged Pistons..
I've got my engine out and checking it over.. She's got over 115K on her.. And was thinking about dropping a new set of pistons in along with all the bearings and such..
I found these on Summit.. Anyone running them? And will they work. I know the stock pistons have a short skirt and i'm pretty sure these have a long skirt.. Not sure if thats gonna cause any issuse's..

All i'm doing is freshing up the bottom end for CC 306 and set of heads pretty close to the LE2's.
Let me know what you guys think.. I'm pretty sure they'll work. Just wanna make sure..

Yeah i just noticed that.. I may go over to .030 I need the get the block to the machine shop.. The walls look pretty good right now. Just alittle wear on the sides.. I am gonna have it honed if it doesn't need a bore.. Does speed pro makes these in STD bore.. I'm sure they do, just can't seem to find them..

I'm sure Speed Pro does make a 4.000
But maybe consider going to a super premium Mahle piston for only around $500 bucks, (with probably the best rings for the money). $270 for these Speed Pros vs $500 for the Mahles. That's not a lot of beer money.

The more i look into the speed-pro. quickSS your right.. I think i'll just go with the Mahle set. I've heard nothing but good things about them. And might as well, its cheap insurance if i ever want to spray a 150 shot..

Don't count Speed Pro pistons short, is there better pistons out there, yes, but for the money the durability of a Speed Pro piston is second to none, they are very tough !!!
Speed Pro makes lighter forged pistons made of the same material, just look through their catalog.
What I did for my motor I am working on is I bought the Speed Pro piston, and the Mahle rings.
