Ok heres the deal, i was going bout 120-130mph...and bout that moment that i hit like 125 or something...my car started to bog! Could it be the speed limiter shutting off the fuel injectors? Just woundering cause i thought that the stock speed limiter is much much higher, i could be wrong, but yours guys's imput would be help.

I think the cars that came with stock 2.73s and/or the 235-55/16 tires had their speed limiters set to 130mph. Or something like that. Correct me if I am wrong guys.

 

If you have a 110 speedo, then the limiter is at 118. If you got a 150 speedo, it is at 160.

93-95 cars with Z-rated tires/150 speedo had the limiter at 255.

i have the 110mph speedo and mine shuts off at 110. hit it many times

 

My car has the 150 speedo, but has the governor at 115. Did all the 96+ cars get the 150 speedo? I noticed on my door it says stock tire is 235/55-16 T rated or something like that.

 

There were some older calibrations that had a limiter of 110. All the latest calibrations for the crappy tires have a limiter of 118 though.

If your car has a speed limiter of 118 and a 150 speedo, your cluster has been swapped.
