Specs on the GM 8xx cam?

Just wondering what the specs are on the GM 8xx (not sure of exact #, maybe 847?) as far as duration, lift, and LSA?

LPE nailed it, 112lsa, and the thing is BAD!

Here is the full cam card (crane version but exact same thing)

Max RPM at 6500, Valve float at 6800 RPM? I thought people were taking the CC306 to that range without any problems with the proper valvetrain parts? Shouldn't this cam handle that as well? Would a rev-kit help valve float? What is the LSA, or can you get it varied? Is it avail in 112?

It is on a 112, and you can get it varried just like any cam.

Valve float is based on their spring requirements they listed. Bigger spring and they wont float. Min/Max operating range is just a "guess" with their listed components. You can see a dyno chart on my web page with stock heads to give you a good idea of its powerband.

Just so you know, I use CC987 springs with that cam and I spin up to 6800rpm with no valve float. If you use the right springs then you won't have to worry about valve float.
