Sparkplug wire routing

i was just wondering if anyone has a clever way to route spark plug wires. i just got taylor 8.2 mm wires today. they are stock lengths. my stock placement looms are all broken and not intact. i still have my stock manifolds but not for long. headers are sitting in my room waiting for a y pipe. but i need to get these wires on so i can stop my old ones from arcing all over the place.

Re: Sparkplug wire routing

On the drivers side tuck them between the block and the block heat shield.

On the passenger side run them behind the dip stick for 6/8. Run all the wires BEHIND the accessory bracket (tight fit, but they will go) and then right into the opti.

Re: Sparkplug wire routing

the pass side i did between the block and the alumiun plate that holds the ps pump and stuff, the drivers i did stock.i have 8.5 msd wires.i like pass side that way it easier to change wires and not have to remove the ps pump and alt.and they run right along side the block

sorry atljar i was posting when you where, same idea though

It a metal channel about 1-1.5" wide and 18"+ long that bolts to the block just under the exhaust manifold.

Those things are a PITA, I took em off and threw em away.
I have MSD 8.5s as well and I routed the driver side up and over the valve cover for 5 and 7 (I have hooker LTs) 1 and 3 I routed in the stock configuration. Passenger side I routed number 2 in the stock location behind the alternator, 4, 6 and 8 I routed low through the alt bracket but I covered the wires in convoluted tubing where they went through the bracket to keep them from damage from rubbing on the bracket.
27k on the wires now and never burnt one.
Oh yeah, zip ties are good, buy a bunch.
