Spark question

Ok i put new wires and plugs in... When i look at my car in the dark i can see the spark on 2 of my plugs around the outside of the plug (over the white part)..I am guessing this is a problem

Also is it tru the the plug wires should touch no metal at all?

I believe that is called arching. I guess you need to tighten the spark plugs and/or wires to stop it.

...

Spark plug is tight and wires are tight....
Does this mean it is a bad plug?

Try this, clean the insulator (white part) with auto wax, polish,
glass wax , this will clean the road grime off which can sometimes
cause an arc path to ground.

Replace the plugs all it takes is a small hairline crack you can hardly see and they will arc like a christmas tree. They can crack from being dropped at the auto parts store by lazy stocker or in you have any sideways force on them when they are toqued down.

I put dielectric grease on the insides of my boots and no arcing problem.
Makes it easier to remove the boots when the time comes as well.
