Spark Plugs And Wires
Spark Plugs And Wires
Hey my name is Dustin and I have a 94 Z28 Camaro with the LT1. I have done alot of work to it. The thing I need to do the most is change the spark plugs and the wires. The wires are purtty explainatory. I take one off put one back on. I have heard alot of storys about changing the pass. side back plug. I heard everything from dropping the pass. side motormount a little to getting a 3/8 swivel head rachet and a taking 3/4 of an inch off of the standared plug socket. I can take my time on this but I dont wont to do alot of things that dont need to be. If I could get some input on this it would be a real help to me. Thanks Guy's!
Hi,
Welcome tho the board!
you may want to edit your signature with your car and any mods you have done to it.
on mine I use a 5/8 plug socket and a 3/4 ratcheting wrench, but I have pacesetter mids. not sure if that will work with stock manifolds though

I just did this tonight.
Key is to get your car pretty high off the ground. It took me 30 mins to do the 4-driver side plugs and the front 2-pass side plugs.
However the rear 2-pass side plugs i was pretty much just reaching in blind and ended up squeezing in from the top-side and it took some time to figure out the best way to get to them. But I dont see why you would have to mess w/ the motor mounts
(I have a lift in the pole barn so that helps ALOT)
