Spark Plugs

I'm gonna give the Z a tune up as soon as I take it out of storage and I was wondering my new spark plugs should be gapped at, or does it even matter? Thanks

For the stock heat range spark plugs the gap should be .050

I would say it makes a difference, I just replaced mine and the ones I pulled out were all at different gaps. I can feel the difference with my new properly gapped plugs.

Thats what I got as well, even the auto lites we ran in m buddies nitrous motor came pre-gapped. When we checked it, they were dead on.

ALWAYS double check pre-gap. Doesn't take much to bend the electrode.

I run the Bosch +4's, and when you look at them, you know right away that they are going to make a difference! They are platinum with 4 ground electrodes, and when I put them in my Camaro, gas mileage went up, it was easier to start, and throttle response was better. Granted, this was the first tuneup for the car (it still had the orig. AC's and some of the discs were missing). These will cost a little more than standard plugs, but they are definately worth it. Not having to change them for a hundred thou is also a plus!
