Which spark plugs?

I am about to do a header swap and was gonna put NGK Tr-5's plugs in. The car is mainly stock right now, but will be seeing a camshaft swap to a comp 306 this winter. Will these plugs be fine on a stock motor? Also, do they come pregapped or do I need to gap em?

The TR-55's come pregapped at the stock 0.50" gap. I believe the TR-5's have a smaller gap. The TR-55's will be fine for your application.

I was told by a friend with a cam only LT1 that he runs the TR-5s with no problems at all, thats why I wanted to see if it would be fine to go ahead and install em while I had everything out.

Pretty much everyone on here with a bolt-on car is using the TR-55 plugs for their applications.

I used the autolite 106s... Haven't really driven the car with them in much but it sure does idle smooth and it makes some nice power after installing these longtubes.

Do you run the AP106's or just the 106's. AP106 is the platinum.

Ya the AP platinums. The car hasn't idled this well since I've owned it, but I also fixed a serious intake leak when I put them in.
