Spark Plug Wires & Tie Straps Question

I heard that it is not good to use tie straps to hold like 2 or more wires together for some reason & that a seperating loom should be used. I guess something with currents..
Any of this true is my question.
Thanks

Cool

I would use some kind of silicone sleeves on the wires where the straps are, like the ones they sell at performance automotive wharehouse or summit,to cut down on resistence.Part #jac400100--You have to just slice them down the middle, and slide them on.Accel makes them, but they want$60.00 or so (fiberglass). These are about $13.00 or so,just use dielectic greese on the inside of them.Hope this helps.

Some people claim the magnetic field will cause resistance. Not honestly sure if it actually occurs, but anyway, i use the tie straps in place of the stock looms to prevent burnt wires. The stock looms are too close to heat sources for me. I dont tire any wires together, i strap the wires seperatly.

Yes you do want to keep them seperated. That way if you have questionable wires the spark can't jump from one wire to another and cause a misfire.
