spark plug wires

I was replacing my wp on my 96 camaro and thought i would go ahead and replace the 100k stock wires. I purchased a set from autozone, and i was ohmning the new wires with the stock wires. the stock wires had at least half as much resistance in the wires? should i go ahead and replace them anyways or just wait till i can get new stock wires from gm?
thanks
matt

Don't use auto zone wires or you will be sorry. You need some MSD 8.5 or Taylor wires. I made that mistake myself and had to do the job over again. Thunder racing or summit has them. get some of the heat protectors for the boots too and you will be worry free. I did the otvc wires and love them. It is so much easier to work with.

can you post a link to the OTVC wires for the LT1 cars, cant seem to find them any where.

EDIT: or do you guys just use the cut-to-fit ones?

I've made a few posts about mine. You have to get the cut to fit wires and crimp them yourself. If you have stock exhaust manifolds then just route them the stock way. OTVC is really just for headers.

I would not use Autozone wires. I have used them before and switched them out for some MSDs.

He's right if you don't have headers just get the stock msd wires. The cut to fit are easy to do so don't let it fool you. It also make it easier in the long run. just depends if you have headers or not.
