spark plug wire routing
Re: spark plug wire routing
I just finished routing those wires about an hour ago. Not a fun job. Do you mean stock 7mm wires in in the stock locations? Mine were, and I followed the 4 channels around the big cast metal(grey)bracket that holds up the alternator on the passenger side. It was very tight, and I did one at a time. I removed the alternator, too. I used the stock wire looms except for the one holding #6 & #8 wire together which I broke. I used a zip tie to hold them together, instead.
This is easier if the car is up on ramps so you can get under the car..,
If you don't still have all of the stock clips and channels for routing the wire, maybe you could use zip ties in a few spots? The main thing is to keep the wires away from the manifold/headers(they'll melt) and serpentine belt locations(they'll get torn up).
I'm no expert here, just a few thoughts. I'm so glad to be done w/that job!

Re: spark plug wire routing
About 5 years ago, I got some Taylor 8mm wire, made up my own wires and routed everything over the top. Patience, zip ties and some WD-40 helps. Nothing gets close to the headers and 80,000 miles later nothing burnt.
