spark plug/wire replacement method

I'm trying to replace my spark plugs and wires in my 94 Z28. Can anyone give me a parts to remove list please. I'm thinking about replacing the driver's side plugs from the top and then replacing the wires maybe from underneath, but I'm really having issues w/ getting @ the ones on the passenger side. Any help?? thnx

One more thing, it's 11:15 AM here now, and I need to be @ Best Buy @ 3:00 PM to have them install my new stereo, so if I get started it needs to take no more than 3 and a 1/2 hrs..

You might be stuck doing what I did, replacing a few plugs now, and a the rest later.

I just replaced mine, and I must say it went much easier than it would have if I didn't read this board. There's tons of great tips on here. One thing that I did that helped was removing the altenator and the oil fill tube from the valve cover, then swivel the AIR tubes out of your way. The passenger side is then very accessible from the top. The drivers side is a combination of top/bottom. Get you some of those cheap plastic ramps at Autozone, they're pretty cool.

youd better wait

it prooly wouldnt be wise to get started b/c 10 times outa 9 you wont finish before your appointment. youll end up rushing and with that will come frustration and you wont accomplish anything! wait until you have a free day and get started early (to get as much daylight as possible). pull the car up on ramps and the left side is a piece of cake. honestly the hardest part of the left side is getting the 5 & 7 wires back in that jacket and on the little ledge that lays against the motor (but if your just doing plugs you wont have to worry about that). im tellin you the left side is pie from under the car on ramps. now to the right side ...dont be surprised if you find yourself taking frequent breaks b/c this side if gonna take some time. all four are accesible from the top, but having a wide array of extentions for your rachet WOULD help. once you get done youll be like that wasnt that hard (i hope i dont have to do em again anytime soon tho). i think that with longtubes i could cut the time in half!

oh and i almost forgot, the first plug on the pass. side is hiding from you, somehow it moves around on you itll take a minute to find, once you get the socket on it youll be ok...youll need to remove the alternator first, some say the alt. braket too but i didnt.

Me & my dad spent a total 8 hrs. working to get the spark plugs & wires changed. But it's a good feeling to know you saved 200 bucks by replacing them yourself w/ some hard work and time. All we removed was the alternator and air dam, but it aint a easy task.
