If your MAF isn't connected or theres a big leak after the MAF, it probably won't stay running. This is assuming it's not a speed density LT1.

Car is faster at 1/2 throttle than WOT

The car is as fast or faster not pushing it to the max. It is like it bogs if i floor it but accelerate 1/2 to 3/4 it really feels strong. Is there anything i can do.

I've owned a couple of cars that had the same problem and both times it was a clogged fuel filter.

DTC 16 for loss of the Opti low res pulse pattern shuts down the fuel system.

Is your crank hub keyed? Is it possible the blower drive is causing the hub to slip on the crank nose?

Do you have any means of data logging?. This would come in handy for a problem like this. . you could be getting false or real knock therefor the computer could be pulling timing.

You're probably running out of fuel possibly a bad pump. Did it start when you put the blower on it or did it just recently start?

My 97 had similar symptoms. I am FI D1 @ 15 psi, and I could feel the power nose over @ WOT high rpm. I installed a HB BAP on the Walbro 255lph pump. Still a power nose over and AFR was lean @ high rpm @ WOT. I installed a 2nd pump (probably over kill) and re-worked all the small diameter short radius stock delivery tube stuff (3/8 Aerquip socketless hose). Problem went away. I really don't think the stock fuel delivery pipe is designed for high volumn flow.

I noticed it after the sc install. I just bought the walbro 255 high volume pump but haven't gotten around to installing it. I had an idea it would solve my problem but everything i have added to the car to make it run better hasn't made much if any of a difference.

100% sure it's a lack of fuel problem. Fix that, fix your problem . You can't run a SC on the stock fuel system

Question

Sorry ... I missed the part about the fuel pressure loss. I wonder if the PD supplied FMU (or the factory pressure regulator) is working properly or does it suddenly decide to release. What about the EGR. It should be completely closed at full throttle but what if it goes open? What would that do to the manifold pressure signal to the FMUs ?

I had my old Z28 do that when the Cat was going bad....but it only lasted for a few days before it clogged completely. Check the flow out the exhaust, but it's probally a fuel problem.
Peace,
Mike

Bad gas, run some good gas thru it about 2 tanks worth to get mine cleaned out.
was odd, 100% and it was a dog, let it down to 75% and you would have thought I hit the nitrous, took 2 full tanks to clear it out.
