Spare Tire & Jack
Spare Tire & Jack
I'm brand new here -- great site from what I've seen so far.
I need a spare tire (space saver) and jack assy. for a 94 T/A. I figure on hitting the junk yard this weekend.
Are there a lot of different bolt patterns on late model GMs? Or am I okay if I just grab a spare from an old Caprice, Roadmaster, base f-body, etc?
Whatever the answer is, same deal on jacks?
Thanks.
Someday maybe I'll have a more exciting question.

Any jack should do if it can hold the weight. I wouldn't count on finding a carlike yours there. The newest cars are usually ten years old and there usually aren't vary many of them. But you could see if any of them have a jack. I thought my SS didn't come with one so I bought one from the dealer for $90! I paid less then that for a floor jack with stands! Then one day I noticed the previous owner put the jack under the tire. I think the extra jack got thrown out though. If you don't find one at the junk yard you should check ebay.
