Sounds like I got a Supercharger...why??

Sounds like I got a Supercharger...why??

He guys....nailed my car for the first time last night. After it gets up to about 3k and on, it whistles like hell. Sounds like I got a 6 pounder in there or something. Is that normal? What causes it?

Mine does that from like 4500-up......I think it's just the CAI.

That's pretty loud for a CAI I would think, I've never heard mine that loud and to hear that over your 383. You sure you're not boosting

My did the same thing-turned out to be my accy. belt slid off the crank pulley a third of the way. Check the belt. It is isnt that then it may just me normal cam intake harmonics....i have never heard a cammed car on the inside so i am just putting a suggestion out on that one

YES check the ps first if not did you replace your timing chain? If so some of the new ones are not machined "quiet" like oem gm but it is ok

I noticed any LT1 I have ridden in, has a good amount of power steering pump whine.

52mm throttle body is sucking in more air from the IAC? My BBK 52mm whistles like a supercharger (minus the blown alternator sound), and speeds up and slows down with engine speed.

My K&N FIPK sounds like a supercharger ever since i replaced the K&N filter with a bigger (longer) one that also alows air to inter from the end it it also...

makes the ricers not want to race...
