I can hardly drive my car in the rain. It gets to spuddering and bucking. And will gradually go away in a couple days after. Sometimes it doesnt do it if its not a heavy downpoor. If I hold the throttle steady at about half throttle it starts a fluttering type sound. Like a giant cat purr. I have new wires, plugs, and of course coil wire. And on dry days if I hold the throttle steady at half throttle the acceleration feels like its pulsating. Kinda as if im letting on and off the gas slightly. Anyone have an idea? Im guessing its my optispark.

 

Do you have splash guard under the car to protect your CAI from the rain?

 

Yes and its even sealed off.

 

It's hard for the opti to get wet while driving unless you are leaking coolant on it from above. Have you scanned for codes?

 

I would check the wires b4 swapping an opti...

 

id try wires first. sounds like u may have a burn one and it just gets worse when it gets wet. opti is a very possible culprit though. opti's suck

 

I put new wires on about 3 months ago. They are routed down the valve cover so I dont have to go through burned wires again. It just gets on my nerves when it rains and i have to pull over or park the car cause it stumbles and hesitates so bad. Im gonna check my o2 wires and maybe replace them since I extended them myself. Whats the best way to check o2 sensors??
