Sort of rough start

I have a 93 lt1 with minimal mods(just intake and exhaust), and when i start it up, it seems to start rough a bit. after a few seconds, it runs just fine. i have another lt1,(96), and it doesnt do this.

The rough start, you can hear the engine firing, but it doesnt just fire up completely, if you know what i mean. after a few seconds, it seems to find the idle, and then it starts chugging like it should. What things should i look for?

Re: Sort of rough start

Mine did the same thing when I bought it. I later found out when I installed the cam that one of the wires going to the coil broke. The bolt that holds the coil on the head has 3 washers between it, one of mine broke off the washer. After I replaced it the problem went away.
