sorry just a quick simple question about comp r?

I am just trying to figure out if I bought the new or old comp r lifters. I think I heard the old ones come with c-clips. How can I tell if mine are c-clips or if I have the newer ones? Thanks for any help.

When did you buy them. I have the new style lifters without any failures yet. This seems to have been beaten to death but it seems that it may be in the valve adjustment as to why they are failing. With the new rebuild this winter, Morels will be going in.

For the life of me, I am trying to remember what they look like. I do remember checking them to make sure the clips were seated before I installed them. Not sure what the first design looked like but I seem to remember mine looking more like an h with a hole in them for the pushrod to pass thru. I can't be sure... let me look and see if I got any photos.. I took a bunch of pics before I installed everything.

I have already read that and I am trying to figure out what the c-clip looks like so I can tell if I have old or new ones.

Never even noticed. Looking at the pictures and seeing the busted clip, I suddenly remembered what mine did look like or, I guess, still look like.

Yeah looked at those and still wasn't sure. I guess if they are the flat type of clips then they are the c-clips that I got, right?

C-clips (older version) or the flat clips (newer).

Crap I'm stupid I meant to say what you just said. I typed it down wrong. Thanks for correcting me and answering my question at the same time.
