It depends, the main difference is the sound, this is a pro for some people and a con for some.

I don't think you will. When I put dual cats back into my mufflex y-pipe, I didn't feel a difference. I will soon dyno it to find it how much I "lost". These were high flow cats though.

Busting the cats just makes it more difficult to pass emmissions and the car will stink.

you gotta look at it like this, a catalitic converter is some sort of a crude exhaust filter if you will...and as the same as an air filter, one day its gonna stop up....if you ahve a new car or a low mile car you probly wont get much power...but i gutted mine when i had about 70K miles and i could feel it...above 3500rpm or so it felt stronger and ran about 1-2mph faster traps...someone else may tell you different but thats MY experience...i would do it and as for the sound its a bit raspy'r but hell that car wasent made for your grandma...anyways it wants to be raspy and so do you...lol

and another thought you might consider...do NHRA top fuel cars have catalitic converters??? hmmm you tell me...do it bro you wont be dissapointed

Are the SLP shorties 1 5/8? I think so. If that is true and I don't see a cat back system or aftermarket Y pipe... My hunch is it will be louder, maybe, maybe a very little bit more top speed, but not much else. The stock cats flow pretty well on these cars.

Now if you had long tubes and 4 1/2 inches of cat back I would have a different opinion.

i think gutting the cat will probably make it sound like crap or raspy put if you just put a straight pipe there instead of cat i think it sounds alot better and not raspy. if u gut the cat a lot of hollow space there unlike a straight pipe. tell me if im stupid or wrong cause i haven't tried it on my car yet hehe.

They're 1 3/4.
Headers, no cats and cutout will be very loud and raspy IMO. But some people like that.

No. Minimal to no power gain, sounds bad, smells bad, pollutes. Sounds like a loser to me.

LMAO!!!!!!!

I did about 2 years ago and it's like, hmm, what did I gain? I gained big *** clouds of smoke at WOT, I'll tell ya that much. Been a while but I think I gained 2mph and lost .2 or lost 2 mph and gained .2.
