As soon as car hits closed loop it runs like crap.

As soon as my car goes into closed loop it starts to hesitate when crutising and also has a miss at idle. If i go WOT or just give it a decent amount of gas its fine. In Open loop it is also fine. Data master shows that when it goes into closed loop it starts to run rich. Could this be related to EGR? Ever since i got rid of the cats i have been having this problem, but it is getting worse and worse. I tried pulling the vacume supply to the EGR and driving it but it didnt help any. ANy ideas?

I have a datamaster log if anyone wants to look at it.

Well, think about it like this. What get ingored in open loop and deep or wide open throttle (power enrichment mode)??

Oxygen sensors comes immediately to mind on this one. Do you have access to a scanner so you can see what's going on? I'd be getting the car scanned first so you know what the deal is.

Since he has a DataMaster log, there's a good chance he's already scanned it

If you have the log available in ".csv" format, either post a link, or send me a copy. Be sure to identify the content clearly in the subject, because I generally do not open attachments.

Yeah, i have a scanner, problem is i dont really know what im lookin at.

I have a log of me just cruising around the block, which is when the problem occurs. If someone can take a look at it for me i will email it to you and would appreciate it.

Wouldnt a bad O2 give me a check engine light?

If you email me.. i will gladly take a look at it. I have datamaster so no need to convert the file but Fred is a valuable resourse so I would do it for him.

only if it completely dies.

There's an option in DataMaster..... something like "export as .csv"

I just did new header gaskets and collector gaskets last nite. So it looks like there is a leak? I will check though, thanks.
