somethings screwed, what is it????
my car will not start, i just went out to start it in the morning and it would not start, everything came on in RUN but when i turned to start it i got nothing, no clicks, no nothing. so i figured the started was screwed and that would make sense cause has far as i knew it had never been changed, car has 103,xxx miles, so i dropped it off, went to autozone, it turned on the table but there was a lot of drag, so they gave me another one and i go and put it on and nothing, so i check if power is getting to it and i almost start an electrical fire, so then i check the other terminal that only gets power when the ignition is turned and it's not getting anything
i don't think its the ignition switch because everything turns on it just doesn't get power to the starter, so i tried my spare key in the ignition and i still get nothing, cant be the resistor in the key, any other ideas, any help

Man that sucks.
You need to pull out a multimeter and start testing things. It could be the ignition switch, or just a burnt or disconnected wire somewhere. If it just happened all of a sudden I would say something came loose or broke.

is the secirity light comeing on and going off like normal when you trun the key on or is it flashing?
things to check.
Good ground at the starter body.
battery voltage at the hot feed.
Battery voltagle on the small selinoid wire with the key in start. your probably lacking the that. lemme know if you are and I can tell ya what to test to see why your not getting it. but do make sure that the VATS is not causing it

There are several things that are involved in getting power to the purple wire on the starter. Things like transmission range switch, theft deterrent relay and module.
Here is a 1995 schematic and should be the same or similar for a 1993.
A quick test to see if it is the switch would be to look for voltage at the DERM fuse (says CRANK fuse in my diagram-1993s may be labeled DERM) when the key is in the START position.

well, after a long check of everthing i took it to my buddy's show were he determined it was the ignition cylinder that was f'ed, he got another one but he just needs to get some keys made cause mine will no longer work, i'm glad he found out what was wrong but its sounding kind of expensive...
