Angry Something stopping removal of EGR valve???

Tried removing my egr valve today to replace it.
I got the 2 nuts off easily, but there is a pipe below the valve which is preventing removal because it is rotated upwards. I would have to remove the studs from the manifold in order to remove the valve, which would prove troublesome given the location, and probably ruin the threads on them.
You can see it in the pic from shoebox's site here right below the egr valve.

Anyone able to give me some advice here please?
Took all of 10 mins to remove the nuts. Thought I was gonna be done in 30 mins or so!

94' Z28 Automatic.

that is the oil pressure sensor you should be able to rotate it a little bit one way or the other to get the valve out.

Grab the oil pressure sensor near the base and rotate it down just a little, until it is out of the way.

Thnx.
I was not sure if this would break if I tried to rotate it, so thought better to ask 1st.

I'll give that a try tonight.

if you can't rotate it easily by hand use a socket, i forget the size.
