something just isnt right, please help

Hey guys im new here but im having a problem. I had to pull one of the heads on my 93 lt1 camaro. i replaced the head and intake, plugged everything up and trieed to start. it was very hard to start and when it did start it ran a rough low idle, kinda like only firing on a couple cylinders but when you barely touched the throttle inside its revs up to maybe 4000 or so on its own.

heres a couple things that i did not note on disassembly.
-the inector plugs, as in which plug went to which injector...they all look the same. so how would i know what goes to what or does it matter?
-some of the vacum lines. theres a couple on each side. i know the 2 smaller ones right on top of each oter towards the back on the pass side. one goes to the FPR and another somewhere else.

ive checked the spark plug wires and found nothing there.

anyone have any ideas on things to check, cause im kinda drawing a blank here.

You said you checked the plug wires did you check the plugs themselves or no?

Trying to understand a little better. Are you saying you may have swapped the injector plugs around unintentionally?

Well lot of people will probably have something to say about it but they way i track down vacuum leaks is i get a can of starter fluid and spray it around the lines and if the car revs up then thats your leak.

Not telling you to do this just stating that this is what i do. DO it at your own risk

If you have a 93, it doesn't matter which injector you put which harness connector on. 93 is "batch fire" - all four injectors on that bank fire simultaneously, once each crank revolution.

There should be a vacuum connection diagram on the radiator cover. It will look like this (but this is from Shoebox's 95 - not the same):

ok i have been checkin lines and whatnot. heres what i have come to notice. the number one and number 2 header pipes stay cold pretty much i can wrap my hand around it while 3 5 and 7 are to hot to touch. 4 6 and 8 dont seem to be as hot as 3,5,and 7. we checked injector plugs with a test light and got the pulses on the light.

another thing the ignition control module was taken off another head that i had bought before i found that the head on the car could be fixed. the original ICM must still be at the machine shop.

still having same problem of the engine revving up.

Which head did you replace - 1/3/5/7 or 2/4/6/8?

Are you sure you got the intake gasket on right?

Seems funny it's the 2 cylinders that fire sequentially and are the 2 bottom terminals inside the cap. Did fluid get inside the cap? Did you check those 2 cylinders for spark?
