someone with lt1 edit...

i would like to compare my file to a lt1 edit file. What i need is for someone to take a stock file from a 93-96 lt1 f-body and change to 3.73 gears within the file. I hear lt1 edit automatically changes shift points. i would like to compare my manually edited file to it. I use tunercat btw.

thanks

There was a post on one of the boards a few days ago that I saw where Ken? at carputing said he would let people have LT1 edit for free to view/edit files. Since you cann't program without there "special" cable it seems logical. This came out right after HPTuners released there software. The site was ls2.com or ls1tech.com. I cann't remember were I saw the thread showing his response.

It does not automatically change the shift points. If you have to modify the shift MPH for it to change.

With a stock LT1 that shifts @ 5700 rpm, with slippage and 3.23 gears

MPH will be around 41-43 MPH 1-2 WOT.
MPH will be around 81-83 mph 2-3 WOT.

Put 3.73's and keep the same RPM.

MPH will be around 36-37 MPH 1-2 WOT.
MPH will be around 71-72 MPH 2-3 WOT.

If you do not change the MPH shift points if you change gears, you will hit the rev limiter.

If carputing gives the software for free because all you are doing is viewing/editing anyways, every guy that paid cold hard cash got fuched. I paid $500 for my software that came with the cable and I would be majorly poed.
