It doesn't miss bad at idle but when i run it up to like 4800 rpms it just feels like its cutting out, i bought new plugs, wires and distributor cap (300$ for all) and i still have the same problem, can anyone help? thanks

 

coil and coil wire. I'd bet that is the problem

 

Did you replace your opti-crap or just your cap?

 

i replaced the whole kit, cap, rotor, i don't know what to do now, the miss starts at about 5000 RPM in second gear and gets more noticeable through the gears
