Question Somebody please help! Shoebox?

I am starting my header install on the 4th and need to find an adapter to connect 97 a.i.r. fittings to headers designed for 94-95's. My brother had the same problem on his 95, the opening for the air fittings in the headers is too big so the fittings just wiggle around and create a huge exhaust leak that sounds terrible and probably hurts performance. Does anyone know what part I need? I'm thinking of trying a plumbing store but in the mean time, is it okay to simply plug the air bungs with m22 drain plugs and just leave the air fittings off to the side? Will this hurt anything? Thanks

It won't hurt to temporarily plug them. There is a chance that you might get a SES if the pcm does not detect the additional air during warmup, but it won't "hurt" your engine.

If you don't find an adapter, just get the fittings for a 94-95. I think they're like $20 at the dealer. Probably cheaper from one of the discounters.
