Some kind of stud where an exhaust manifold bolt should be... maybe???

I removed my exhaust manifolds & heads and there seems to be a stud on the drivers side head on the exhaust port closest to the firewall. It is not fully screwed in and the top seems to be clean so i dont think a bolt head was broken off... I tryed some vice grips to get it out but it wont budge.

this thing supposed to be there?

Its a busted of stud. Mine was too when I put the headers on but the headers use the other hole so it stayed in there. If you have to get it out you'll need a torch to apply some heat.

You sure you're looking at the driver's side head? The passanger side head has a stud in the exhaust manifold in the front end (towards the radiator) that holds both the exhaust manifold and the alternator bracket.

definitely the drivers side. Thsi stud has no bolt head so i guess ill have have a bolt head welded to it to remove it.

it use to be a bolt and it broke off. Don't worry about it if you are adding headers you won't need that hole anymore.
