some exhaust questions

I recently cut out the old flow master cat back that camr on my 95 because it was a [eice of crap and rusted through the muffler. so now i am without a cat back which isnt that bad in my opinion. i hear about back pressure alot though on the board. i have the current set up. . . two peices of 3" pipe from autozone with a turn down at the axle. my question is should i be looking into a catback to get the most tq/HP out of the LT1 or can i leave it the way it is and still see good gains?

Re: some exhaust questions

if it were me i would either go with an actual true dual setup or get another catback....what you have now seems like its jimmy rigged. i know when i went from the loudmouth to the corsa i gained alittle throttle responce and alittle more pep because it finally gave me alittle backpressure. i also know here in PA that you cant get the car inspected if you have anything dumped before the axle. exhuast must go past the axle. if you want my opinion of a catback i would go with hooker or corsa
