DTC 29 = Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump circuit

Check the fuse to the AIR pump. It is common for the AIR pumps to get moisture in them and short out.

DTC 41 = Ignition Control (IC) circuit (open circuit)

Check the connections at the ignition coil module (ICM). If your car is running, the problem is intermittent.

DTC 84 = Skip shift solenoid circuit (manual transmission)

You seen to already know about this one. Search the web or ProjectTransam for a way to get rid of the code with it disconnected.

There is a correct listing of 94-97 DTCs on my Tech Page.

There is a list of OBD-I codes at the end of my online ScanMaster writeup.

DTC 84 is Skip Shift.

DTC 29 is AIR pump circuit. Most likely the fuse is blown. If you have intentionally disconnected the AIR pump, you need to be sure there is a good fuse in the circuit. That will eliminate the code.

DTC 41 is Ignition Control Circuit, open or shorted circuit. If the engine is running, this is a "stored" code, because the PCM kills the fuel system if the code is active. This involves the power supply to the coil and to the Ignition Control module. There is a fairly detailed diagnostic procedure in the factory manual. I suspect that you will find it on Rob/Shoebox's Tech Resource Website.

Perhaps you downloaded the owner's manual. The procedure is in the service manual (for which there is no download).

Normally with a code 41, your engine will not run. The diagnostics are geared to that, so they won't really be much help. I would check all connections at the coil and coil module. Make sure there is no corrosion and they are tight. Also check the IGN fuse in the underhood fuse panel. Take it out and wipe it off and/or swap it with another of the same size.
