Solid lifters

What brand are you running? Any complaints?

Engine builder recomends Cranes b/c they are all built by crane and he has seen little to no problems with them. I was told def not to use comp, but something like a crower isky or crane

who told you to definitely not use comp? There is nothing wrong with them and I'm running them in my setup. I do think the crowers and iskys are better but there is nothing wrong with the comps. If money wasn't an issue, I would go with the isky's but I got a good deal on my comps so I went with them.

Engine builder, says comp get parts from all over and puts them together...he has seen wheels fall off and had alot of failures b/c of there quality....He likes crane b/c everything is made in house.

He will not let me run a comp product.

Sounds like good advice to me. I know it would have saved me some money and a few less head aches.

Isky is my first choice - never have a problem with their parts and I use them in all builds.

Crane would be my second choice, also high quality.

I have not seen any good reason to use a solid roller on a street or street/strip car. There is little advantage in a car setup for those uses over the cheaper and more reliable HR setup.

Just my $0.02.

This is a race car with LT block in it, solid roller single plain, DFI,5500 converter......probly won't make it 2 miles down the road before it blows up

Got it. My point is negated/irrelevant. Use Crowers.

I use Howard's cams lifters and cut my own oil slots in them like the Endure-X. At 239 a set they are a steal and they have lasted 2 yrs now. I personally know 3 roundy round guys running them and they have not had any abnormal failure rates compared to the more expensive ones.
