Talking and so it starts...

today is the beginning of a hopefully just under a week project, the parts are in and now I just got to get my lazy *** out there to start...

-35000mile long block

-GM 847 Cam

-Comp non self aligning 1.6's

-K800 springs w/ titanium retainers

-bushings

-Jet hot coated long tubes (still enroute)

-Taylor "over the top" kit

-mezure(sp?) electric water pump

-find a Ypipe

-tuning

I'll try to get a open header sound clip to post up later... I'm sure I'll be posting up questions soon enough.

how are you liking you jet hots? mine should be here any min.

I didn't know the K800's were double coils, I need to find out if they are supposed to have a pink strip down them, it say K800 on the box but you never know, these things look to big to fit in the stock pocket.

Best of luck to both of you on your cars,Also dont run the car to much with the open headers will cause a rich condition that will cause problems.

just got off the phone with Phil from AI, got some good info, very helpful, I'm looking forward to getting heads already and I still haven't even broken the seal on the new motor.

No problem.

Those springs are double coils, and the paint was a purple/pink color.

They just BARELY fit on the stock seat, but fit. They are a ton bigger than the stockers for sure

Mine ran good at first with open headers, then got worse and worse, finally added the Y Pipe and it helped a bunch. THe 02 sensors get confused if theyre close to the open athmosphere, they see lots of oxygen so they add more fuel, not a good thing!
