So I was looking at Thunder Racing (cam related)

This was the first cam on their list for our LT1s

63-07-304-8 Comp Cams "304" LT1 Camshaft, 210 / 220, .500 / .510 114 LSA, Mild cam, great for daily drivers or emissions sensitive applications. Will work with stock computer tuning.

I have a few questions about this. First off I only use my car as a daily driver, but I wish to have the 'loping' sound from a cam, and an extra amount of RWHP. Emissions are a big concern, I do not have headers, and want to keep my MPG around the stock area, but that is the least of my concerns.

Would this first cam give me what I want? Or would this second one be better?

Comp Cams "305" LT1 Camshaft, 220 / 230, .510 / .510 114 LSA, More aggressive with good street drivability and decent vacuum. Good midrange power.

And finally there is the LT4 Hotcam which a lot of guys use.

20-24502586 GM LT4 Hot Cam, 218 / 228, .525 / .525 112 LSA Lift #'s w/1.6 Rockers

And this comes with the RRs which I was probably going to do this summer anyways.

So which one would best suite me? Thanks

Ok,I will try to steer you straight. The 304 is a small cam,you would probably be disappointed. The 305 and hot cam are good choices.I have the 502 extreme cam myself.Slightly bigger than the hot cam, great low end torque, with a decent lope to it.I think either of these 3 would suit you well.

I'd recommend speaking to them directly and they can give you their specific recommendations based on what you want. What they have published is true but there may be an even better grind than those listed. Comparing those 3 your listed, the CC305 is by far the best as far as power output and driveability. In 90% of builds using the hotcam it is generally an underperformer and you lose MPG but don't pick up the power that I think you should with it.
