So which headers are the ticket
So which headers are the ticket
finally have money for longtubes. which headers are the ticket to buy, i want coated ones. Jet-Hot ot Pacesetter. Are both just as good as eachother? Both just as hard to install lol? What do you like and why.
Re: So which headers are the ticket
Probably not much of a difference between the two other then price, with the Pacesetters usually being the cheaper ones. Both brands have a loyal following on this board so you can't go wrong either way in my opinion.
Re: So which headers are the ticket
Ihave a 97Z and have hooker long tubes they make good power but I am going to get some kooks stainless steel headers.you cant beat the pace setters for the money though.
Re: So which headers are the ticket
i just did pacesetters on mine about a month or so ago and i like em. had no problems with them during the install... about the difficulty i was expecting. (had to undo one motor mount)

Re: So which headers are the ticket
so jet hots and pacesetters are slip fit into the Y pipe, and hooker is a 3 bolt flange? what are the prices for jet hots and pacesetters? anyone know some cheap places to get them? i know jet hots are right through them

Jet-Hot and Pacesetter compared:
1. Pacesetters are cheaper (P + 1)
2. Jet-Hots have higher quality welds (J + 1)
3. Sterling coating outperforms ceramic (J + 1)
4. Jet-Hots have a flange instead of slip-fit (J + 1)
5. Pacesetter has terrible quality control on their headers mounting or not mounting flush (and thus creating exhaust leaks) (J + 1)
P = 1
J = 4
In my mind, the price doesn't outweight Jet-Hot's advantages.
