Smoky Tailpipe after Routine Service

I need a little idea on what is happening to my co-worker's stock '94 Z28...

She had went to get the 30,000 mile service (tell me about it!)along with a brake job and she got the car back after it was 'fixed.' After driving it for approximately 100 miles, she experienced the following:

- Extremely rough idle.
- Oil gauge bouncing like crazy.
- Black smoke emitting from the tailpipes.
- It was a quart of oil low in less than one week of driving.

Oil is burning from somewhere but it's not leaking outside of the engine bay. Seems like the black smoke only comes out from the tailpipes.

Any ideas?

Black smoke is fuel. She is running very rich,if smoke is pouring out the tailpipes. If it were burning oil it would be blue, Water is white. What exactly did they do to the car?

She supposedly got a tune-up, which also involved replacing spark plugs. The filters were replaced and the fluids were replaced as well. She also had her brakes replaced as well as the master brake cylinder.

Possibly wires didn't get put back on correctly and burnt? MAybe didn't get snapped on and they fell off? Seems pretty wierd that they changed the plugs with only 30,000 miles on it.

Hell maybe they didn't fill the oil all the way up? Or are you pretty sure it is burning it?

Was this a dealer?
