I'd go with a spec stage 2 or a stock replacement. Labour usual runs from $200-400 at a shop for installing a clutch.

Could be that you need to do the driver mod!

It is not the best idea to keep launching hard on a clutch that is already so overheated that you can smell it....

Judging by your description, I'd say you problem is the way you were driving it. Try again in a few days and get this 'dump the clutch' idea out of your head.

If the car is basically stock or lightly modded I would go with a stock OEM or SLP replacement clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing.

If you shift, and your clutch doesn't handle it, DON'T keep racing it. You'll end up dead in the water. My old clutch gave up on the launch of my fifth run of the day back in March, and I walked it down the track, and immediately parked the car, no more racing.

I.E. Don't continue to beat on something that you know is failing. You'll only end up worse off than you already are. If you're not sure if something is going out, don't take the chance.

yes.. you toasted your clutch disk...

I'd suggest a Std LT1 replacement or the SLP package... if you're fairly stock like you sound to be.
