Smoke at WOT ONLY

Smoke at WOT ONLY
This has happened twice now, once about 3 months ago and now yesterday. On my way home from the track I have to get on I-75. Well, car's running great and every once in awhile for some reason I feel like hitting the gas on the interstate. Yesterday I was next to my ex-wifes brother who went to the track with me (he drove his car), and the other time this happened I was coming back from the track and there was a nice foxbody that wanted to race (or so he thought ). Anyways, my car NEVER smoke while I drive it normal and does not at high RPM's except these two times. What happens is when I'm @ 6200-6300ish for a long period of time (1/2 mile- mile) it lets out a BIG plume of smoke! Not like it smokes a little it looks like the engine blew up (first time I thought it did). Once the smoke clears up......about a mile of driving, I can nail the gas and there is NO smoke. What causes this? I think maybe at high rpm's the rings just can't handle the volume and it blows by. Am I on the right track? Or should I be concerned?

If I popped a valve seal wouln't it constantly smoke? It stops after driving a mile or so.

My friend's cat blew it's honeycomb out, it let loose a cloud of smoke. Seeing that's yours is a dual cat car, maybe it was each cat at separate times; if you're still running cats.

X-pipe no cats. I don't think it's a big deal because it only happens if I'm on it for LONG periods of time. I can go outside, jump in it and floor and and there will be NO smoke. But if I stay in it (at high speed, high RPM's) it will plume.
