Question Smoke on cold start ups?

My car seems to smoke on cold starts for about the first 20sec. or so. It seems to be more noticeable when its colder outside...maybe 45 degrees or less. Also, it only really does it enough to notice when I rev it a little bit. Puffs of grey smoke. Would this be old worn vavle seals? I have about 95K on stock heads.

that is normal...

also in very cold places ur exhaust will always smoke cuz the exhaust fume thats coming out if very hot and the outside is cold... this happens on any car when i'm back home in turkey during winter

just like when u blow hot air in winter time :P

also ur car will run very lean for like a min cuz ur engine an intake is very cold from not running a while, so the air that comes in is very dense...

if it stops after 2 mins ure good to go

Car smells bad but that might have something to do with a hotcam running rich and no cat. converter! Anyhow, I know its normal to an extent, but I mean if I rev it up a bit I can see puffs of smoke go floating by me when the breeze is from back to front. After a minute or two it doesn't do it anymore though.
