Smell of Gas!
Smell of Gas!
Im beating a dead horse here. Im about to delete my damn car.
1995 Camaro RS w/ transplant:
1996 LT1/T-56
1994 Wire harnesses
I have pacesetter long tubes which have causes arching on #5 spark plug wire (driver side 2nd from the top). ALso, i have the Pacesetter y-pipe, no cats, straight pipe to 40 series FLowmaster.
My car sounds and smells like ***. I dont know what the hell is happening.
What shoudl I do? It smells like gas, but big time.
Im going to fix teh wires this weekend, and weld the exhaust everywhere
What else should i do?

Re: Smell of Gas!
There are two things that will cause it to run pig rich....
1. Misfires (sounds lke you have a few misfires from the wires)
2. Exhaust leaks (sounds like you may have a few of those as well)
Shoebox has a diagram of the EVAP system on his website. Let's assume you want the simpler OBD-I setup, without the flow sensor:

Do you still have the canister in the driver's rear fender? I would assume the V6 models must have something similar.
