Okay so I was driving and I occasionally noticed a smell of something burning. After smelling this a few times I started to get smoke sometimes coming from under the hood on the right side. So I inspected and found small oil spatter on the top of the driver's side primaries.

I pulled the valve cover gasket and it was ripped so I replaced it and I still get the spatter. I will wipe it off so it is clean and after a short while I will see another puff of smoke and check and the oil reappeared on the header. Could it pooled up somehere?? I noticed that before I changed the gasket it was on all 3 header flanges but now it is mostly on the front-most flange. Any ideas?

I know it's not harming anything but I don't like my car to puff smoke or leak oil. Thanks.

 

I have the same smoke coming from the passenger side but it seemest to be coming from under the manifold I have no idea what's going on these cars are so cramped to work on.
