Does anybody have the SLP Y pipe installed on the factory exhaust manifolds? I do not want to install headers. Has anybody notice a difference in power and torque, plus changes in exhaust sound? Thanks, please reply if you can.

 

I don't have it on this car, but on the 95TA I used to own I put on just the SLP y-pipe but left the manifolds stock and the cat too.

I didn't notice any change in the loudness of the exhaust, just a slightly different tone, although it was very minor. I did gain some power though, enough to pick up one tenth and one mph in the quarter mile. SOTP didn't feel stronger though, but the dragstrip proved me wrong.

 

Should just get headers, always think, plug access...

 

I just have the slp y pipe with stock manifolds and i cant say what it did, however it was cheap and the install was easy so go for it.
