SLP? Trac. control?

My friend has a 96' z28 with trac. control. He claims it's an SLP. Is this possible or not. What is the main diff. between a trac. z28 and a non-trac. Is it really so much more powerful.

If he's refering to this,
http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=63014
This only deactivates the traction control when launching. It is not the traction control system. I believe the traction control system employed by GM was manufactured by Kelsey-Hayes. SLP does not offer a traction control system

Traction control will use a combination of ABS and engine spark retard to slow a spinning wheel as apposed to ABS which serves to unlock a wheel that doesn't rotate.

Jim,
are you talking about Evan? He don't know what he's talking about. He just has the traction control that comes straight on specified GM Z28s. He definitely ain't got any SLP stuff on there.
