SLP Loudmouth Installed Video Inside

I am completely satisfied in my choice with the SLP Loudmouth exhaust. To me, it gives the car a TRUE muscle car sound over anything else I've heard.

I have had mine installed for 2 weeks. The day I picked it up, it seemed SOOO loud, but I am completely used to it by now. No major droaning or resonating in the cabin, no rattles or anything of that sort. I also have a 6 speed, so whenever I am driving at highway speeds and I switch into 5th or 6th gear, its no more noticable than the stocker was. Due to only having 4 gears in an automatic, I can see why people say they get droaning or resonating sounds inside the car, if you've got a 6 speed, its the ONLY true choice.

Here is a video I shot of the SLP Loudmouth. It is behind the car and inside the car as I drive around the block. <Dial-up'ers beware, 20 MB video file ahead>

Also, my car has 102,000 miles on it, is it normal for LT1's to smoke that bad when u get on it with this many miles? Is it running super rich or is this burning oil due to blow-by?

P.S. I know my SES light is on. Its due to me yanking off my AIR system and haven't had it removed from the ECM. That'll come next.

Looks like you're burning some coolant there...never seen a car blow smoke like that in the summer. Sounds good though....

IMO SLP LM is one of the best sounding cat backs you can buy as long as mods arn't taken to extreme with it. Cam, heads, LTs and all destroy the sound of it.

May be a dumb question, but whats the little box beneath the passenger side door handle?

Otherwise, great sound, entertaining, glad you didn't wreck!

Ive had mine for over 2 years. Trust me you will start to hate the drone. I removed the SLP resonator and repalced it with a dynomax race bullet 12". Sounds so much better. I also added SLP center mount exhaust which completly changed the tone for the better.

Re: SLP Loudmouth Installed Video Inside

I have the SLP Loudmouth, LT4 Hotcam, Jet Hot LT headers, 1.6rr, no cats. The car is really loud and sounds great with the mods. I'll try to post sound clips, but I recently broke a valve spring so the car wont be running again till friday.
