Anyone have a soundclip of a LT1 with Jet Hot Long Tubes and a Loudmouth exhaust?

I did... found nothing with Jet Hots with a clip... so difficult

 

My friend has it on a 1997 trans am, and it sounds raggity to me.

It'll be extremly loud, raspy and drone like a ****. You'd attract every cop in a 5 mile radius. I'd highly recommend switching catbacks to Hooker or magnaflow.

I'm sure they have it there. Most are LS1 cars though, but you can get the idea.

 

I have it on my 3rdgen and it's way too loud unfortunately. I've gotten 3 verbal warnings one of which I knew the cop thankfully so he let me go. It sounds good at lower speeds but becomes completely ratty at some point. Not an LT-1 like you wanted, it's an L98 and it runs through SLP 1 3/4s, a single 3" catco cat and an LS1 SLP Loudmouth. I'm undecided about it yet I don't drive it much so I guess it doesn't matter for now.

Dynomax... that does sound good, but I never heard a Magnaflow, Dynomax, or Hooker with LT's...

 

i've heard it before, it sounds real similar to my car at wot.
i have borla/longtubes/no cats.
mine gets real real poppy at like 2500-3000 rpms, how can i get rid of that?
its deffinately raspy, but i personally like the rasp.
magnaflow/flowmaster and all that sounds to similar, borla/slp/corsa have very distinct tones...

 

I was thinking about the LM also but wasn't sure because I always heard it sounds like crap with LTs. What would it sound like with LTs, no cat, and cam/heads Anyone heard the LM set up like this ?

 

It would sound like hell. I have a friend with an LT4. Got the Hotcam and Hooker LT's.

That's the setup I wanted until he took me for a ride. After 15 minutes, I had a headache and just wanted out of that damn thing. At 2000 rpm, we had to yell at each other. And when you pass a semi, its even worse. I would NOT suggest that.

 

I got the LM when my car was basically stock but had to ditch it a week after I put on headers and lost the cat because it sounded so bad. There was also the fear Id get a ticket every day till the day it was quieted down too. Now I have 2OTL and while it looks goofy it sure sounds pretty damn good.

Hey Kevin I'm glad you posted on this because I was going to PM you about this set up and I forgot. Is it just way to loud, or does it just sound like pure **** ? Are you going to be changing to something else ?

Also is anyone running a Borla cat back or have you heard one with heads/cam LTs and no cat, What does it sound like to you guys ?

 

ANyone running a Dynomax, Magnaflow, or Hooker through LT's? I hear NOTHING but awesome things about the Hooker... anyone hear can testify?
