I would go with longtubes, especially if you're gonna get a 383 (more torque). The SLP's are only shorties for LT1's. I'm gonna buy Jet Hots soon. Heard all good stuff about them. Your call thought...

I've got slp shorties(dual cats) and I love them. I'm doing heads/cam though and switching over to jet hot long tubes. I got a good gain from them, but if your doing a 383 get the long tubes.

I've read that the SLP single cat headers is one of the best but their dual cat header is not as good a other shortie headers out there.

Long tubes are very nice assuming your not lowered and are in an emission friendly zone.

I noticed good gains from them. I would have bought LT's if I could over again, but I got these really cheap...already coated by Jet-Hot. Never had any issues with them, and I'm overall happy with them.

They are great headers. I would convert to the single cat '94-'95 style though. The primaries are longer on the drivers side. People tend to call them mid length headers. One nice thing about the SLP's is the 1 3/4" primaries, which support a large amount of HP in the upper RPM's

All you need are 02 sims, a cat or straight pipe, and an S-pipe to bolt to your current cat-back.

I am doing the '94-'95 conversion, but with MAC headers. I bought the '94-'95 style hooker exhaust so I don't need the s-pipe.

People also really like the AS&M (Arizona Speed and Marine)headers. They are also 1 3/4" primaries.
