slp headers?
Re: slp headers?
Do a Google for Stage 8 header bolts or just header bolts. From what i have heard thay are worth the 50$. I also think that the slp's are great and i haven't even installed them yet. Good Luck
Re: slp headers?
OK, I am on the Stage 6 website and I am not sure which bolts to get for the LT1. They have the LS1 listed and a few other bolts that aren't specific. Anyone know the PN needed for the LT1?

Re: slp headers?
The only thing you will need to get from SLP is the flange gaskets Part No. 30031, about $10.50 for the pair. I used felpro 1406s, ARP stainless 1" 12pt bolts. You will have to check them once in awhile (but you should anyway).
You may or may not need a fire sleeve and should make certain that the headers are not touching any hoses or wires or we're talking "what's that smell?".
Probably should tie the heater hose away because if that sucker gets burned you will have problems.
If you can pick up a set of used ones for a good price (and if they are not coated, have them coated) that would probably be less expensive than new ones. JMHO

yup definately, had that happen- driving to a store and started smelling coolant- parked car and popped hood to see my heater hose burst and dump all my coolant- and that thing is a b*tch to fix....
Re: slp headers?
I am pleased with my SLP's, they were installed about 10 years ago. I had them jet hot coated, they still look great. I gutted the cat and I love the throaty sound using the stock factory exhaust.

So where would I get a good set of locking bolts? I'll probably get a copper gasket from Jegs.
